Wolfgang Pichler directed great criticism at Stina Nilsson.
Now the 30-year-old strikes back against the German coaching icon.
– I think it is so very boring, she says to SVT.
The fourth season as a biathlete has been another tough one for him Stina Nilsson. The winter has been marred by poor results and much criticism has been directed at her.
Nilsson’s season
The 30-year-old started the season in the World Cup, but after an 84th place and a 69th place, she was demoted to the level below. There, the Swede has been allowed to continue the season in the IBU Cup.
– I have respect for the selections based on the fact that I certainly did not perform well enough to go to the World Cup at the beginning of the season, says Stina in an interview with SVT.

She also expects to be selected for the second year in a row when the Biathlon World Cup awaits, starting on February 7.
– I have not received any notification. But I’m not naive either. It’s just a matter of looking at how the girls who go to the World Cup have performed. They’ve done amazingly well and I’m super impressed with them so it feels like it’s going to take something very, very extraordinary for me to get a place there. I think that those places are reserved for other people, says Nilsson to the TV channel about his WC chances.
Stina fights back
Recently targeted trainer icon Wolfgang Pichler strong criticism of Stina Nilsson and condemned her skiing. Now she strikes back against Sweden’s former national team captain in biathlon.

Stina admits that she absolutely does not want to hear what the outspoken German has said about her.
– Yes, but you don’t have to say what he said. I’ve really tried not to take what that person says to heart. I’ve only been told that he’s said something and I deliberately try not to listen to what people say. So that’s why I feel that I don’t even want to hear his quote, she says and interrupts the SVT reporter in the interview.
– I feel so much better not knowing and then I do my best not to know. I only go skiing and biathlon for my own sake, for my own pleasure. And I’m the one who chose this and I want to create memories for myself and then I think it’s so very sad when someone else’s opinion should ruin it. Now it’s going to be difficult because you wanted to ask a question and I had to interrupt you, it might be a bit unfair.
