The amusement park Gröna Lund in Stockholm continues to have difficulty attracting guests after the fatal accident during the midsummer weekend.

In the past week, roughly 4,000 people per day have visited Gröna Lund, compared to double the number of visitors at the same time last year, Dagens Nyheter reports.

It was on June 25 that the Jetline roller coaster derailed. A 35-year-old woman died and nine people were injured, including several children.

The amusement park was closed for ten days after the accident, and in the week after reopening, between 1,800 and 3,200 people came per day, according to figures from Parks and Resorts, which owns Gröna Lund.

The accident will be felt “for some time” to come, says Jan Eriksson, Gröna Lund’s CEO, to DN.

– The first closed week cost us SEK 26 million in lost revenue. And we still lose money because we don’t fill the park in the same way as we usually do, he says.
