If there is a technical problem, they will not go off.” André compares the detonator to a match and a gasoline barrel. “The bomb is the barrel of gasoline and the match is the detonator. If the match doesn’t work, the bomb won’t go off.” A technical defect is one of the reasons that a bomb does not go off, but not the only reason according to André.
