Tension in the Middle East continues to increase day by day. Israel’s attacks on Gaza, which started on October 8 last year and turned into a genocide, gained a new dimension by combining with the attacks on Lebanon and Syria. This new dimension sparked discussions that a new war could break out and spread throughout the Middle East.
In light of these developments, comments began to be made that the tension in the region after Iran’s attack on Israel could turn into a regional war.
WHICH COUNTRIES SUPPORT ISRAEL WHICH COUNTRIES SUPPORT IRAN?
In this context, the British press also presented remarkable analyses. In a report in the Mirror newspaper, it was emphasized that Israel received support from its Western allies, especially the USA and the UK.
The news also included a list of which countries would support Israel and which would support Iran if the conflict expands and turns into a global war.
USA, EU AND UK ARE ON ISRAEL SIDE
Accordingly, Israel’s relationship with the United States dates back to former president Harry S. Truman’s decision to recognize Israel.
Israel has gained strong allies in addition to the USA, and it is predicted that the UK and the European Union will also support Israel.
This prediction was based on Britain’s commercial and military ties with European countries.
It was also stated that Western countries, especially the UK and the USA, have a similar attitude to Israel regarding Iran.
WHO WILL SUPPORT IRAN?
The news also evaluated which countries could support Iran.
A comment was made as follows: “Iran has managed to establish a support network with Russia, China and Turkey in response to Israel’s alliance with the USA, the EU and the UK.”
It was noted that Russia and Iran have developed strategic relations against the sanctions coming from the West.
THE IMPLICATION ABOUT Türkiye ‘IT MAY BE ON IRAN’S SIDE’
Likewise, it was stated that China was trying to meet its energy needs through Iran in response to its increasing production capacity, and therefore signed various agreements with Tehran.
It was found striking that the news did not provide any details about Türkiye, which is considered among the countries likely to support Iran.
However, the newspaper recalled the calls for Turkey’s exclusion from the F-35 program and its removal from NATO due to purchasing S-400 missiles from Russia, and evaluated this situation as a reflection of Turkey’s axis shift discussions.
