(Finance) – “He remains called for Tuesday 2 April the table at Mimit on the Stellantis factory in Melfi. The meeting is on the agenda at 11.30. The decision of Minister of Business and Made in Italy, Adolfo Ursocomes after this morning the meeting was moved by a month, May 3, to avoid overlaps for the electoral campaign in Basilicata”.
Following the protests of the unions, Urso had a telephone conversation with the president of the Basilicata Region Vito Bardi, who – it is stated – “he also took part in the requests of the trade union organizationsi”. The meeting will therefore take place as initially planned, “even if the absence of the company is confirmed, which by its own policy does not deem it appropriate to participate in the meeting on the Melfi plant during the electoral campaign in the Basilicata Region. Roundtables for the factories in Piedmont and Abruzzo will also take place next week, for which the Group’s presence has already been confirmed”.
“We learned this morning that Minister Urso has moved the important meetings with Stellantis scheduled for next week to a later date, presumably not before mid-April. This dilatory and irresolute attitude is detrimental to the dignity of the trade unions and, above all of the interests of workers who have been waiting for concrete solutions for almost a year now”. They write it in a joint note Fim, Fiom, Uilm, Fismic, Uglm, Aqcfr after the new agenda for the Stellantis table at Mimit. “Market and transition problems they certainly cannot wait for the times of politics and electoral campaigns. We believe it is essential that the meetings are confirmed with the scheduled calendar”, conclude the unions.
