Stella McCartney gives Minnie a makeover in a trouser suit

Minnie abandons her traditional red polka dot dress for an Haute Couture trouser set, created by the famous stylist Stella McCartney on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Disneyland Paris park. A “very chic” outfit, appreciated by Hillary Clinton herself!

To celebrate the 30 years of Disneyland Paris, Mickey and Minnie put on their 31! The costumes of the famous mice and all their friends are of course matched, and specially designed for this unique event. We find brilliant, soft and acid colors. In total, these new party outfits required more than 2000 lines of rhinestones made, more than 700 meters of printed fabrics and more than 190 jewels! But Mickey’s companion goes further: this year, she calls on her own stylist and completely changes her look!

Stella McCartney creates Minnie Mouse’s first trouser suit!

Minnie called on British designer Stella McCartney to design her very first pantsuit at Disneyland Paris. “I’m thrilled to be working with the one, only, iconic Minnie Mouse,” said the designer, who designed a bespoke outfit, with responsibly sourced fabrics. If the mouse has swapped her red dress with polka dots for a blue tuxedo, the polka dots are still present. “This new take on her signature polka dot makes Minnie Mouse a true symbol of progress for a new generation.”

Where and when will Minnie wear her new suit?

Minnie will wear this new tuxedo “in honor of Women’s History Month in March 2022. I can’t wait for you to see this new look at Walt Disney Studios Park,” said Stella McCartney. “Minnie has always had a special place in my heart. We share the same values. What I love about Minnie is that she embodies happiness, self-expression, authenticity and inspires people of all ages all over the world. Plus, she has an amazing style!” she added.

Hillary Clinton, already a fan of Minnie’s outfit

This new look is already reacting on social networks. From France to the United States, conservatives are rebelling against this outfit, a symbol of “wokism”. But for the American politician, this “very chic” trouser suit symbolizes French elegance. Hillary Clinton even shared a tweet to express her interest in Minnie Mouse’s new style!
