Stefan Raab shut down social media over Easter and announced his TV comeback with two mysterious videos on Instagram. What many fans initially thought was an April Fool’s joke was finally confirmed by boxing world champion Regina Halmich – because the former presenter, who made TV history with shows like TV total and Schlag den Raab, will step into the boxing ring against her in September 2024.
However, it shouldn’t stay that way. Because as Bild now reports (via RTL ), the boxing match with Halmich is supposedly part of a larger plan with which Stefan Raab not only wants to get himself back into the TV business – but also Streaming landscape could stir things up.
Stefan Raab probably wants to set up his own streaming service
According to insider information from the tabloid, the TV legend is working on his own streaming service, which is explicitly to cell phone users should direct. The content should not be produced in the usual 16:9 format for television, but rather for smartphones, i.e. upright in 9:16.
The content should be about the area Show and entertainment and the program includes, among other things, music shows in the style of the Bundesvision Song Contest or Masked Singer. The so-called “advertiser master”, who recently shared a suspicious video on Instagram, is also said to be connected to the streaming service.

When should Raab’s streaming service start?
Together with Daniel Rosemann, the former boss of ProSieben and Sat.1, the entertainer is said to have already had the rights for Internet broadcast entertainment (Class 41) protected by the German Trademark and Patent Office with his company Raab Entertainment GmbH.
The boxing match against Regina Halmich is scheduled to start the streaming service on September 14, 2024 be. However, the fight will remain Raab’s only appearance in front of the camera for the time being. The moderator is supposed to work behind the scenes on the implementation of the service.
An official confirmation is still pending.
