Similar Stedin schools are already in Rotterdam, Goes and Alblasserdam. Every year, almost two hundred students receive their MBO diploma. Alderman Lot van Hooijdonk hopes that the program will also attract many students in Utrecht. “For the transition to clean energy, we need a lot of people who learn this trade. Stedin also works a lot with newcomers, such as people who come from the asylum seekers’ center. That is the best way for them to participate in society.”
