Steam, the popular PC games marketplace, is making a big change in the way its users access free games and DLC by adding a new function.
Steam has lots of free games as well as lots of paid games for players to enjoy. However, although free games are liked by many players, some players continue to see these games as a service where Valve hosts unnecessary games.
Add to library button for free games and DLCs on Steam
Steam users needed to start the installation of a free game to add to their library. This caused them to be alone with the download window to add the games they did not want to play to the library. Valve, on the other hand, will change this situation and bring the feature that is frequently requested by users.
This new and simple feature is available as the “Add to Library” button, which you can see in the Steam desktop application. Although it is not written in Turkish at the moment, we think that this will change in the future. You can find this button next to any free-to-play game and add it to your library. For Steam users, this is a good development. Because you will no longer be faced with an annoying window asking you if you want to install a new free game.
It may seem strange to you that Steam has implemented this feature after all this time. However, Epic Games Store, one of Steam’s competitors, allows free games to add games to the user’s library without bothering with the installation screen. However, while the Epic Games Store can offer a paid game for free every week, this is not the case on the Steam side. So we can say that Steam does not focus much on free games.
