Steam cuts support for Windows 7
Windows 7 users should switch to Windows 10 or a newer operating system as soon as possible to play games on Steam and benefit from all the features of the platform. Microsoft had already discontinued security updates for Windows 7 in January 2020. Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 are now considered insecure operating systems because these versions cannot protect against new threats. This may compromise the security of user computers and Steam accounts.
