With ASKA, the next survival game wants to conquer the Steam charts. With a Viking setting and base building, it is similar to Valheim, but impresses with even better graphics.
What kind of game is this? ASKA is a survival game on Steam that is currently in development. In co-op mode, the game can be played with up to 4 players.
In the Viking setting, you build bases together with your friends, command NPCs and fight against monsters that threaten your villages. In order to progress in the game, you have to collect resources that you can find in the procedurally generated world. You do this with the help of your Viking ship.
You can see the new trailer for ASKA here.
New trailer shows how pretty ASKA is
What can you see in the trailer? In the new trailer for the game you can see the basic mechanics of the game: building villages, collecting resources and defeating opponents. The game wants to score points with its lively world and pretty graphics. In addition, the boss opponents are elaborately designed and the trailer shows a mix of a colorful world and dark opponents that need to be defeated.
Right at the beginning of the trailer, a large enemy appears that could be a boss. Later you can also see that opponents are attacking the players’ villages. Animals can also be seen in the trailer; in one excerpt they are being hunted with bows and arrows. According to the trailer, you will also be able to explore caves in ASKA.
When building the village, you can get a sense of the game’s construction mechanics. Here buildings are placed using blueprints and then built.
Another aspect of the game could be food, the trailer shows that you have to prepare for winter with the harvest.
ASKA: Closed Beta in April – This is how you take part
When does the ASKA beta start? The beta will take place between April 15th and 21st, 2024.
Important: Registration for the closed beta ends on April 5th.
How do I join the beta? To participate in the ASKA closed beta, you must join the game’s official Discord server. After you accept the server’s rules, you can see the “closed-beta-signups” channel. In the channel you will then find a link to a registration form. You have to fill this out.
When you register, you will be asked about your favorite games and genres, but also whether you want to play ASKA alone or with friends. You should also allow enough time for the beta, as the developers also want to test game mechanics of the end game.
You can also enter the email addresses of friends who may then also be invited. This also increases your chance of being invited. The friends still have to register themselves.
Are you safe after registering? Registration does not guarantee you access to the beta. The developers look at the registrations and then make a selection. To increase your chances, your friends should also register and you should mention each other when registering. If you are selected for the closed beta, you will receive a code by email.
In order to participate, you must sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), which in turn requires you to be over 18 years old. Recording and streaming gameplay is also prohibited.
