Not all smartwatches tell the time. There is even one that does not have a screen, but which is very practical to help prevent episodes of stress or even better manage your sleep.

Based in the Netherlands, the start-up Nowatch offers a new type of connected watch, capable of providing real-time information on the nervous activity of its user. For this, the watch measures both the heart rate and the activity of the sweat glands, the basis of sweat production, thanks to various integrated sensors. In particular, it uses Philips Biosensing technology.

Once on the wrist, the “watch” emits small vibrations more or less regularly throughout the day in order to reduce stress, but also to improve the attention and overall well-being of its user. According to its manufacturer, certain stress peaks could thus be detected up to 60 minutes in advance. The watch works regardless of your activity, whether you are resting, walking, running or playing sports. Regarding sleep, the watch measures the time spent each night in deep sleep. A dedicated application allows you to follow your physical activity and gives valuable advice for living (and sleeping) more peacefully.

Here, the screen is replaced by a module (interchangeable) in precious stone. For the rest, this watch is 37mm in diameter, has an average autonomy of 10 days for a charge, which can obviously vary according to use.

Different configurations are proposed concerning both the case and the bracelet and the precious stone replacing the screen, all from 383 euros. Note that a monthly subscription system allows you to benefit from personalized monitoring and recommendations.

This type of product adds to the family of “wearables” intended to track physical activity, which until then took on the appearance of connected bracelets or even rings.
