According to the information from Tez2, who made a statement about Rockstar games on Twitter, he says that entering GTA Online without a firewall can cause serious problems, up to ban. He also states that it may be beneficial for RockStar Games to stay away from the game for a while until they fix this problem.

For now, Rockstar has not made a statement about this situation, which only affects PC players. He explained that “PC gamers are being targeted by hackers” by Tez2.
