The family of children in Västberga in southern Stockholm who were subjected to a fatal shooting on the night of Thursday are said to have no connection to gang crime. According to SR Ekot and Expressen, the reason why they were attacked may be that they share a surname with a person whom the perpetrators want.
The father, who was in his 40s, died and the mother was shot. A child was also injured. Both parents had previous convictions.
