In his first assessment of the presidential election results held on November 5, at the press conference held at the White House, Biden emphasized that the elections in the country were peaceful and calm and that the election system was functioning properly.
Noting that he called Trump yesterday to congratulate him on winning the election, Biden said, “I spoke with President-elect Trump and congratulated him on his victory. I assured him that my entire administration would work with his team on a peaceful and orderly transition process. This is what the American people deserve.” he said.
“I WILL STAY LOYAL TO MY Oath”
Biden said, “I will do my duty as president, be faithful to my oath, and act in accordance with the constitution. I will hand over my duties peacefully here on January 20.” he said.
Evaluating that Democratic candidate Kamala Harris ran a very successful election campaign, Biden stated that the American people have made a decision and they will act in accordance with this decision.
Emphasizing that he will hand over office after about 2.5 months and will do his best during the remaining presidency, Biden said, “You cannot love your country only when you win. You cannot love your neighbors only when you agree.” he said.
Trump will officially take the oath of office on January 20, 2025. (AA)
