The bill also requires the approval of the $110 billion emergency aid package, which includes $14 billion for the creation of new patrol forces to provide security at the border and the purchase of personnel and equipment to speed up the procedures of irregular immigrants.
Republicans, who criticize Biden for not protecting the borders, especially oppose the military aid item to Ukraine in the package in question.
