Stoltenberg made a speech by video conference to the meeting on “Climate Security” held at the COP27 climate conference in Egypt. “The UN, NATO ally Turkey and the international community negotiated and concluded the agreement that made possible the export of grain from Ukraine in order to reduce the pressure on the global food market, albeit partially. I visited Istanbul last week. I personally saw the passage of grain ships through the Bosphorus. “I spoke with President Erdogan. I expressed my appreciation for Turkey’s efforts in the grain agreement. We continue to call on Russia to comply with the grain agreement and to extend the agreement.”

Stating that Russia should end its war with Ukraine, Stoltenberg said that if Ukraine ends the war, it will not be a sovereign state, and if Russia ends it, peace can be achieved.
Stating that the war could end at the table, Stoltenberg emphasized that Ukraine must be strong on the field in order to be strong at the table.
