State of emergency declared in Crimea after oil spill

It was on December 15 that two older Russian tankers ran into distress in the Kerch Strait, which connects the Sea of ​​Azov with the Black Sea. One of the ships broke up and sank while the other ran aground. The ships had a combined cargo of 9,200 tons of oil, according to the state-controlled Russian news agency Tass.
