Experienced Australian driver Daniel Ricciardo will not continue as a racing driver for the F1 team Racing Bulls, the team announced on Thursday on its X account.
Ricciardo has driven 257 races in his F1 career, where he has collected 32 podiums and eight wins. The current season has been difficult for the Australian. Ricciardo has collected 12 points and is in 14th place in the World Championship. Teammate Yuki Tsunoda has a total of 22 points.
RB also said on Thursday that the New Zealander Liam Lawson replaces Ricciardo in the last six races of the season.
Ricciardo has driven in the F1 series for several teams. His hardest scoring seasons were seen in the strong Red Bull team, when the Australian finished third in the overall World Series points at best twice.
