Bethesda Game Studios is finally bringing the expected support for its space-themed game. Starfield DLSS It was announced that the support patch, which includes the technology and has been long awaited by the players, can be tested through Steam Beta next week.
Starfield DLSS Support Coming Next Week
This update specifically includes official support for Nvidia’s Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) technology and will allow players to experience space adventures with much higher performance. In the statement made on Bethesda’s X/Twitter account, it was stated that this update will be offered primarily as a beta version for Steam users and can be tested before being widely released to all PC players, including Xbox Series
Additionally, Bethesda stated that the update will not only be limited to DLSS support, but will also include HDR controls and various other improvements and optimizations. Stating that the most notable feature will be DLSS support, Bethesda also announced that it will also offer support for AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 (FSR 3) in a future update.
Starfield DLSS support mod, previously prepared by a group of gamers and mod developers, will thus be disabled.
It was known that Bethesda had previously refrained from making a statement about whether Starfield would support DLSS, because AMD was announced as the “exclusive PC partner for Starfield”. However, this has been refuted by rumors and speculations confirming that Starfield supports two different upscaling technologies such as FSR 2 and FidelityFX Contrast Adaptive Sharpening (CAS).
