Star Wars Outlaws brings back a popular character from the solo film – but without the star behind the role

The upcoming Star Wars Outlaws will see the return of a beloved character from the film Solo: A Star Wars Story. However, the actress who portrayed the character on screen is not there this time.

Which character is it about? Qi’ra is a character from the 2018 film about the young Han Solo. This friend of the popular smuggler was portrayed by Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke.

Qi’ra had known Han Solo since they were children together on the planet Corellia. She later became the leader of Crimson Dawn, a crime syndicate.

Overall, the film was only moderately well received by audiences. It holds a 63% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The character Qi’ra was one of the more popular aspects of the film, and was also a new character in the Star Wars cosmos.

After a leak about Ubisoft’s Star Wars Outlaws yesterday, Game Informer revealed that Qi’ra will be part of the new game. Fans of the character should be happy about this, but there is also a downer.

According to Brian Shea, this information was confirmed by Ubisoft itself. At the same time, it is currently not clear who will replace Clarke.

How do the fans react to this? Fans of the character find it a shame that Emilia Clarke doesn’t play the role again. Various comments and reactions collect under Brian Shea’s tweet:

  • User Elliot writes: “It’s a shame, but not surprising. Still, it’s great to see direct connections being drawn between Solo and the comics.”
  • “I thought so, but it’s still cool that the character is included at all,” says RumblePack92.
  • “How disappointing,” says Mr. Jango using a gif.
  • Andy writes: “But she looks like Emilia Clarke.”
  • In fact, the character model in the pictures (via reddit) is very reminiscent of the original actress. At least the appearance is retained.

And the mere fact that Qi’ra appears in Outlaws at all is causing euphoric reactions among fans of the character. As soon as Ubisoft reveals more about the game and also reveals the cast, we will know more. You can find more information about Star Wars Outlaws on MeinMMO.
