Star Wars masterpiece with a shock twist that no one

While we wait in vain for a new Star Wars film in the cinema, ProSieben is currently showing the latest installments in the series. In the past few weeks we have been able to look forward to, among other things, the spin-offs Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Solo: A Star Wars Story. This week we return to huge Skywalker Saga back.

Star Wars 8: The Last Jedi is on TV tonight and takes us two and a half hours into the galaxy far, far away. The second part of the sequel trilogy follows directly on from the events of its predecessor, Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens. This means we’ll be seeing more of Luke Skywalker.

Star Wars 8: The Last Jedi hides the most exciting moment of the entire sequel trilogy

In Episode 8, Rey (Daisy Ridley) finds herself on the remote planet Ahch-To, trying to convince Luke (Mark Hamill) to train her in the use of the Force. Meanwhile, Finn (John Boyega) and Poe (Oscar Isaac) go on their own adventures as the First Order seeks to finally destroy the Resistance.

When Star Wars 8: The Last Jedi was released in cinemas in December 2017, the film sparked great debate among fans of the star saga. Rian Johnson’s space adventure remains one of the most to this day most controversial blockbuster the past decade. Shortly before his finale, however, he unpacks one of the most exciting scenes of all.

Be careful, follow it spoiler!

After Snoke (Andy Serkis) was established as a villain in episode 7, the pulling the strings in the background and even controls the raging Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), there has been much speculation as to what story actually lies behind the scary antagonist, who wraps himself in a dark hooded cloak.

Episode 8 turned all expectations on their head and got rid of the character even before the showdown on the salt planet Crait. It is the most exciting decision of the entire sequel trilogy: Just at the moment when all hope seems lost, Kylo Ren stands up to the diabolical Snoke and kills him on his throne.

He then fights back to back with Rey against the villain’s bodyguards in a breathtaking lightsaber sequence that takes us to a startling point: Kylo reaches out and asks Rey to join him. The past should die, he wants to build a new order.

But Rey doesn’t take up his offer. She turns away from him and leaves him with it even more lonely and lost back than he already is. For a moment it was completely uncertain in which direction Star Wars would develop next – a phenomenal moment, especially in an otherwise so despondent franchise cinema.
