Be careful, follow it spoiler!

Grand Admiral Thrawn is back in the Star Wars universe and is preparing an attack on the New Republic. However, he is by far not the only well-known figure from the Star Saga, appearing in the 7th episode of Ahsoka. In just under 45 minutes we get to see a whole handful of familiar Star Wars faces.

But first things first: Ahsoka, Sabine and Ezra are finally reunited. We haven’t seen the three characters together in one frame since the Star Wars Rebels finale, which aired in 2018. Now they face the superiority of Thrawn’s Stormtrooper army and are causing excitement among many fans.

Ahsoka episode 7 delights Star Wars fans with a big reunion and lots of cameos

There are many emotional reactions to the long-awaited reunion on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). “The reunion we all wanted”says a tweet that shows the moment in which Ahsoka and Ezra hug.

What particularly delights some fans: The Clone Wars villain briefly appears in the scene with Anakin’s hologram recording Asajj Ventress mentioned. “I never thought in a million years that I would ever see Hayden Christensen’s Anakin Skywalker mention Asajj Ventress in live action. I’m speechless.”

Additionally, Genevieve O’Reilly returns as Mon Mothma back, while Nelson Lee once again served as Senator Hamato Xiono from Star Wars Resistance plays. The biggest cameo in this scene, however, is another: C-3PO! In the original he is spoken by Anthony Daniels, who had his first words in Star Wars in 1977. Who needs Thrawn when you can have a talkative protocol droid?

The C-3PO cameo is very touching as it is in Connection to Princess Leia stands. Even if she doesn’t appear herself, the memory of the late Carrie Fisher brings tears. “C-3PO performing on Leia’s behalf makes me want to break down and cry. We miss you so much, Carrie.”
