Star Wars Eclipse Quantic Dream presents a breathtaking trailer

This Thursday, December 9, the Game Awards ceremony took place, marked among other things by the surprise appearance of Star Wars Eclipse. The new Quantic Dream project was presented to us through an impressive trailer.

[Mis à jour le 10 décembre 2021 à 16h40] The last quarter of 2021 got off to a good start with the announcement of the release of the remake of Star wars Knights of the Old Republic and fans of the universe of Georges Lucas are once again spoiled during this holiday season. Star Wars Eclipse was unveiled during the Game Awards 2021, a nearly three-minute long trailer that gives us a first look at this game developed by Quantic Dream and Lucasfilm. A revelation which is not far from having diverted our attention from the current awards ceremony. A project that impresses the web and is at the heart of many discussions in this year 2021.

First thing to note, Star Wars Eclipse is developed by Quantic Dream, the French studio behind Detroit: Become Human and Beyond Two Souls. There is something to see a little coming since Quantic Dream specializes in action and adventure narrative experiences, offering games of very high quality. Star Wars Eclipse will be no exception to the rule since it will be a game where the choices of the player will impact the narration and the unfolding of the story, a key feature in all the biggest successes of the French development studio. You should also know that the game will be developed in partnership with teams from Lucasfilm Games, Disney’s mastodon studio.

As for the story, it is still difficult to see a definite plot. We only know that the game will take place in the era of the High Republic, a period that is being strongly developed through many comics. Star Wars Eclipse will take place in the Outer Rim of the galaxy, an area far from Coruscant’s influence and Republic control. A prolific universe and quite popular with fans, set in the centuries preceding the plot of the Phantom Menace. This is also why we can see a familiar silhouette in the trailer above, leaning out of the window of the Jedi Council. We’ll let you reject it.

As for a release date, no details on this subject. Quantic Dream and Lucasfilm Games have claimed that the game is in the early stages of its development. An exit that will probably not have to be waited for before 2023.
