Star Wars brings back Qui Gon Jinn Mace Windu and Count

Tales of the Jedi is an animated Star Wars series based on various short films. These don’t tell much of a story. Instead, we’re dealing with another anthology format that seems to be moving in the wake of Star Wars: Visions.

The first characters we follow in Tales of the Jedi have now been introduced at the Star Wars Celebration. Among other things, we get episodes Qui Gon Jinn, Mace Windu and Count Dooku – but not directly the versions that we know from the prequel trilogy. Tales of the Jedi shows us the legendary Jedi in their younger days.

Tales of the Jedi comes up with a total of three Ahsoka episodes that take up different stations in her life. One of these episodes was already shown at the Star Wars Celebration. She bears the title Life and Deathis around 15 minutes long and should feel like a Hayao Miyazaki film in terms of atmosphere.

When does Tales of the Jedi start on Disney+?

Tales of the Jedi comes from the mind of Dave Filoni, who is also involved in the Mando-Verse alongside the animated series. Kevin Kiner serves as the composer for each story. He has already composed the soundtracks for The Clone Wars, The Bad Batch and Star Wars Rebels.

Tales of the Jedi celebrates in Fall 2022 premieres on Disney+ and includes a total of six episodes or short films.
