Miko Kailiala was in a delicate mood when the Turku Palloseura got to celebrate the men’s Finnish championship in floorball for the first time.

The amazing final series of the floor bandy men’s F-league culminated in the historic championship celebration of Turku Palloseura. TPS defeated Nokian KrP in the overtime 3–2 and won the final series, which stretched to a stalemate, 4–3.
Miko Kailiala was one of the greatest heroes of the TPS gold team. Kailiala scored 30 (18+12) power points in the spring matches and conquered the points market of the F-League playoffs.
– Absolutely incredible, makes you very sensitive. Faith has been tested many times. Now was the last seam for it and in the tightest possible way. There are no words. TPS has given us all a lot, it’s damn great to be able to give a little back now, a sensitive Kailiala expressed her thoughts.
Kailiala leaves TPS and heads to Switzerland next season. Kailiala will transfer to Zug United, who play in the Swiss NLA, with a two-year contract. It’s okay to leave Turku now that the big dream of winning the Finnish championship came true.
– It feels really good! Many have threatened that it (the championship) will still come here. At some point, it seemed like it wouldn’t happen, but now we have to celebrate, Kailiala said.
Sports director of TPS Perttu Kytöhonka admits that it is difficult or almost impossible to replace Kailiala.
– There is not really a search for a replacement, because there simply isn’t one, Kytöhonka stated when Kailiala’s departure from Turku was confirmed.
The battle that decided the championship was played in the traditional Hakametsä ice rink in Tampere. There were more than 5,000 spectators.
– The best thing is to wear a TPS shirt. The gold medals are now around my neck, there is nothing better than this. This will be celebrated long and hard, Kailiala assured in the whirlwind of the party buzz.
