With Tron Legacy, the second part of the science fiction series founded by Tron in 1982 came to the cinema in 2010. How does the story continue? We’ve been waiting for 13 years to the next sequel. So far, however, Tron 3 has suffered more defeats than successes. The project was put on hold again and again.
Currently, however, the chances are very good that Tron 3 will be in development hell after all these years actually becomes reality. After Jared Leto (Morbius) was signed for the leading role, the next cast member is now known: Evan Peters dives into Tron 3 in the extremely stylish computer world.
Sci-Fi Sequel: Dahmer star Evan Peters joins Tron 3 cast alongside Jared Leto
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Evans will be in front of the camera alongside Leto in Tron 3. The actor is fresh off the Netflix hit Dahmer: Monsters: The Story of Jeffrey Dahmer. In addition, belongs to the American Horror Story ensemble and is as Quicksilver from the X-Men movies known.

It is unclear what role Evans will play in Tron 3. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the plot revolves around a soldier in the virtual Tron world and a real-world player who sooner or later clash. The film will be directed by Joachim Rønning, who is already at two major Disney blockbusters involved: Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales and Maleficent 2: Forces of Darkness.
When does Tron 3 aka Tron: Ares start in cinemas?
Tron 3, originally called Tron: Ares, has so far no official theatrical release receive. Since the project is currently in pre-production, it will take some time before the film is completed.
