First finalist of the Star Academy, she expressed her frustration with the production’s choices and her weariness, a few days before the grand final.
The Star Academy season 12 finale is now fast approaching. This Saturday, January 18, viewers will discover who, Franck or Ebony, will win their ticket for the epilogue of this Star Academy 2024-2025, and will face Marine, already qualified. A decisive bonus which promises great performances from the academicians still in the running.
For the occasion, production has prepared a busy program for the candidates. For this penultimate Star Ac’ bonus, Franck will share the stage with Marc Lavoine, while Ebony will have the chance to sing alongside Youssou N’Dour. Together, they will also join Zaz to revisit his greatest hits. For the solo song, decisive for reaching the Star Academy final, Ebony will perform “Ne me judez pas” by Camille Lellouche, while Franck will cover “Commeils dit” by Charles Aznavour.
Already qualified, Marine will also share a duet with Frank and Ebony and will sing with the group Cat’s on trees, on the title “Sirens calls”. She would perhaps have preferred another scenario… During one of the lives broadcast this week on TF1+, the young woman learned that Ebony and Charles were also going to cover “Writing’s on The Wall” by Sam Smith during the bonus of this January 18. An announcement which did not please her at all, since she had specifically asked to sing this title.
“Fuck, but I put it in my list, are they kidding me or something!”, said the semi-finalist, annoyed, and seeming to target the Star Academy production. “I wanted to do it too much,” she candidly regretted to Ebony, while wishing the duo good luck. This is not the first time that Marine has expressed her frustration with Star Academy’s artistic choices. Last week, she complained that the production did not “trust” her and favored other students.
But beyond these disappointments, it is a feeling of weariness which seems to overtake the candidate as the grand final approaches. “That’s it, I want the adventure to be over. I want to leave, that’s good,” she confided to Franck and Ebony in the live broadcast on TF1+. After three and a half months spent at the castle of Dammarie-les-Lys, Marine seems to be finding it a long time. “It was so good but that’s it, now I want to go out, see my loved ones again, take off,” she explained, visibly in a hurry to regain her freedom and her daily life. An understandable desire to turn the page after such an intense experience, which cut her off from the outside world for several months.
Despite everything, the young woman keeps her eyes fixed on her goal: winning this twelfth season of Star Academy. “I can win for example, and then go out,” she joked, determined to succeed Pierre Garnier on the list of winners. Even if she now aspires to return to a normal life, outside the walls of the castle, Marine would first like to conclude in style this adventure which will have undeniably changed her life.
