After The Wrap published an article that a film based on the life of Rocky’s adversary Ivan Drago is in development, Stallone is raging on Twitter against the plans.
“I just learned that this pathetic 94-year-old producer and his selfish children are once again scraping what’s left of the flesh off the bones of a wonderful character,” Stallone writes.
He continues:
“I apologize to the fans, I never wanted to see Rocky exploited by this greed”.
The character Ivan Drago was portrayed by Swedish Dolph Lundgren in “Rocky IV” from 1985. He returned to the film series in “Creed II” in 2018.
The producer Sylvester Stallone seems to have a crush on is 91-year-old Irwin Winkler, who together with his son David Winkler produced the “Creed” films. Winkler also produced the “Rocky” films in which Stallone starred.
