One in three caravans is not safe enough to go on the road. This is evident from a random check that the sector organization Bovag conducted among 3000 caravans that were serviced last year. It raises the question of whether there should not be a mandatory periodic inspection for caravans. “Quite a good idea”, says Bovag spokesperson Paul de Waal, “but not a solution for the short term.”.
