Several people have been injured in connection with the collapse of a stage during a campaign rally in northeastern Mexico ahead of the country’s presidential election.
Presidential candidate Jorge Álvarez Máynez states that he visited a hospital after the accident that occurred in San Pedro Garza García in the state of Nuevo León.
“The only important thing right now is to take care of the victims of the accident,” he writes on X, without mentioning how many were injured or how seriously.
