An employee at a nursing home in Jönköping municipality has been reported to the police by relatives for repeatedly hitting one of the elderly on the legs with a clenched fist and then dragging the user from the toilet to the bed, reports P4 Jönköping.
Other employees are said to have witnessed the incident that took place in March and when they raised the alarm to the manager, it emerged that staff had previously seen that the elderly man had bruises on his legs.
The municipality has also made a report about abuses at the accommodation to the Inspectorate for Care and Care (Ivo)
The employee, who has many years of experience in elderly care, was immediately removed from service and has resigned himself. The person has denied the assault.
