Staff at Sis accommodation in Jönköping did not dare raise the alarm despite threats of eviction

His security department gave the go-ahead for the staff to contact the police on the matter, but it did not happen. The reason for the lack of contact, according to a preparedness report from Sis, was that there was a concern about violating the confidentiality legislation, which in some cases means that Sis is not allowed to contact the police.

Minister of Justice Gunnar Strömmer says that the case is “extremely serious”.

– I mean that it is an unacceptable situation both for the social phenomenon to be dealt with and the concrete case, but of course also for the employees in question, says Strömmer, to the radio.

The Minister of Justice also believes that the legislation needs to be made clearer and says that the government plans to implement changes to the law.

The radio has contacted Sis, who does not want to comment on why the staff at the home in question did not raise the alarm.
