The local residents are happy to help the squatters, but how does the municipality view them? “The municipality doesn’t actually have much say about it, but the owner does. So as long as the owner doesn’t have a plan, we will stay here,” says Mus. They often tried to make contact, but he was not interested in the proposal, says Seeuwer. “He has a lot of properties on the street here, I think he’s just too rich to care about this.”
