Valkyrie Elysium, a new entry in the series that began with Valkyrie Profile in 1999, was announced for PS5 and PS4 at State of Play.
The State of Play broadcast, which was realized with game announcements from Japanese companies, witnessed the announcement of several new productions. One of them was Valkyrie Elysium, developed by Soleil Ltd.
Square Enix’s Valkyrie Elysium announced
The action RPG-based production will feature “fast-paced combat using a variety of weapons” alongside magic abilities. Square Enix will use features of past Valkyrie games such as finishing moves and combos, along with a brand new real-time action combat system that rewards both quick reactions and strategic thinking.
Valkyrie Elysium has surfaced with the trailer showing off a teaser of what its story might entail, along with exploration and struggles in a fantasy world. In a post on the PlayStation blog, “The Valkyrie series depicts the end of humanity and its encounters with the gods through a unique world inspired by Norse mythology.” it’s called.
Developed by Soleil Ltd, which we know from the Samurai Jack game, the music is prepared by the composer Motoi Sakuraba, known from the Dark Souls game. Character design courtesy of Yuya Nagai, CyDesignation NieR Re[in]carnation designers made it.
Valkyrie Elysium doesn’t look like it will tie in very directly to other Valkyrie titles, as PlayStation describes it as “an all-new standalone adventure” in its blog post.
