Square Enix wants to save its game despite the catastrophic

Fruit of the collaboration between Square Enix and the studio PlatinumGames, Babylon’s Fall is unfortunately a critical failure. Released on March 4, the title fell badly with an average Metacritic rating of 43% for the press and an unfortunate 1.5/10 on the user rating side. Both parties agree that the game is a failure, both in its graphics and its ultra-classic gameplay and especially designed for micro-transactions. To this was added a plummeting attendance (not even 500 players simultaneously on Steam), which proves a certain lack of love on the part of the players. Despite this, PlatinumGames and Square Enix refuse to give up and let the world know that the title will continue to have the support of the two Japanese companies.

Is the service tracking in danger? No, there are no plans to scale back the development of Babylon’s Fall. Season 2 content is nearly complete, and we’ve started working on Season 3 and beyond. We will continue to provide content and make improvements based on player feedback, striving to retain existing players and attract new ones. We’d like to thank all the Sentinels who are already having fun in the world of Babylon’s Fall, and we look forward to welcoming more in the future.

We also recall that on March 22, a large-scale update will be deployed, which will bring the game to version 1.1.0, with all sorts of new features such as a new faction, new types of weapons, a new story too and many other things. Then, on March 29, we can enjoy a time-limited event, with Nier Automata. If it is not common for games to come back from hell after having stayed there for several months, even years, everything suggests that it will be difficult to recover…
