According to the latest news, Forspoken was due to arrive on PC and PS5 on May 11, 2022, but we will have to be patient to discover the adventures of Frey Holland in the atypical world of Athia, since Square Enix has just announced the postponement of his game of several months. The announcement was made on the Japanese publisher’s social networks, which revealed that Forspoken is now scheduled for October 11. As usual in such a situation, it is the intention to offer the best possible experience that is mentioned, so that Frey’s arrival in the wonderful world of video games is not just limited to a single episode, but that can last for years to come. Some believe that the very mixed press feedback last December for the editorial staff who had access to the game called the development team into question. We have indeed criticized the game for an austere open world, a gameplay that is a little too classic and a central character who perhaps lacked stature. It’s unclear how these additional 6 months of development will be used to tweak the game, but clearly Square Enix doesn’t fancy another flop. After Marvel’s Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy, the pill would be quite complicated to swallow.
