The announcement means that Nigeria will not have a team in the women’s 4×100 meters during the World Cup in Eugene, USA, in July. The reason for this is that Okagbare six days after circumventing doping tests (June 13, 2021) ran in the relay team that qualified the team for the World Cup, at the Nigerian Olympic competitions for the summer games in Tokyo last year.
