Despite the anxiety that characterizes the situation in Iran, the celebration in the King’s Garden provided an opportunity for various groups with ties to Iran to celebrate their holiday. It happened through dancing, enjoying traditional food and the tradition of jumping over fires – a symbol of health and warmth.

Nowruz: from the suburbs to Stockholm City
Organizer and producer manager Rostam Mirlashari has for many years played a central role in developing the Nowruz celebration and moving it from the suburbs to the central Kungsträdgården in Stockholm.
– We are very happy that there is this opportunity in Sweden to celebrate Nowruz without being restricted by the political regime, says Rostam Mirlashari.
