What kind of event is this? The Spotlight Hour is a recurring event. It takes place every week on Tuesdays. In this event there is one Pokémon that is the focus and can be found almost exclusively and in large numbers for the duration of the event.
In addition to the Pokémon, there is also a bonus that will be unlocked during the 60 minutes of the event.
Today’s spotlight hour will feature Unratütox. The Pokémon comes from the 5th generation and is of the Poison type. It has a further development with Deponitox.

Spotlight Hour on April 23rd – Start and Bonuses
When does the spotlight hour start? Like every Tuesday, the event will start today at 6:00 p.m. After 60 minutes, at 7:00 p.m., the event ends again.
Which bonuses are active? Today’s Spotlight Hour will feature an experience point bonus for catching Pokémon. If you successfully catch a Pokémon, you can look forward to twice the amount of experience points.
Can you catch Shiny Unratütox? Yes, with a bit of luck you will also see Unratütox in its shiny version during the spotlight hour.
Is the spotlight hour worth it? If you want to use Unratütox and its evolutions to fight, you won’t have much fun doing so. Both Pokémon are neither among the best attackers in Pokémon GO for raids, nor do they play a role in the battle leagues.
If you want to capture Unratütox as Shiny, this could be an option for you. The chance of Shiny Unratütox appearing is not increased, but due to the large number of Unratütox that appear during the spotlight hour, you could get a copy with a bit of luck.
You can also collect some experience points in the event if you need them. You can increase the amount even further by using lucky eggs.
