Spotify wants to promote your playlists. At least if they are successful with other users. The streaming music platform has just announced that it is testing the promotion of playlists acclaimed by the community, but which have been developed by its own users.
Featured Curators pilot, it is the name of this function which will be tested for a limited time. It will complement existing thematic playlists such as RapCaviar as well as personalized “Discoveries of the week” playlists.

To conduct its test, Spotify will choose users in several countries, without however specifying the list. The lucky winners will then see the new Featured Curator playlists displayed on the home page of their application. Depending on the reception and success that will be reserved for its new playlists, Spotify could develop its application by integrating them definitively, thus offering all of its users a new means of discovering artists.
