FOOTBALL The first team in Elinkwijk will not play for the next two weeks. The KNVB confirms that the team was ‘put on a break’, as a result of verbal violence towards the referee, last Saturday during the match against Legmeervogels, in the 2nd class.
Elinkwijk must now supply a plan from the football association to prevent repetition. If things go wrong again, the team can be taken out of the competition. The Utrecht club is in relegation morning in the 2nd class. (Tuesday 28 January)
