WHEELCHAIR TENNIS Diede de Groot and her coach Amanda Hopmans split up after ten years. The 23-time Grand Slam champion and number 1 in the world from Utrecht announced this on social media. “After ten wonderful years, the collaboration between my coach Amanda and me comes to an end,” De Groot wrote on her Instagram account. As a pupil of Hopmans, De Groot won her first Grand Slam title in 2017 at Wimbledon, after which 22 more victories at Grand Slam tournaments would follow. She won two gold medals at the Tokyo Summer Paralympics, and last summer she won two Paralympic silver medals in Paris. (Wednesday December 4)
