ATHLETICS Femke Bol has not been nominated for the election of best athlete in the world this year. Six others have been nominated by World Athletics in the track running category. Last year, the Amersfoort native had a chance of being selected, but saw the prize go to the Kenyan Faith Kipyegon.
Bol is on the shortlist for the election as European Athlete of the Year. (Monday October 21)
