TENNIS In Kamen, Germany, Stephanie Visscher from Elst has reached the quarter-finals of the ITF tournament. She did this thanks to a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Poland’s Marcelina Podlinska. Guy den Ouden has reached the quarter-finals in Brussels. The Breukelen resident defeated the German Marlon Vankan 7-6 and 7-5.
In Alkmaar, Soester Abel Forger lost in three sets to fellow countryman Niels Lootsma in the second round: 6-7, 6-4 and 6-7. In doubles, Utrecht Elgin Khoeblal reached the semi-finals together with Daniel Verbeek, Sidane Pontjodikromo from Leersum and Niels Lootsma gave up their quarter-finals without playing.
