TO SKATE Wesly Dijs set the fifth fastest time in the 1500 meters at the World Cup in Quebec, Canada. De Soester recorded 1.46.25. The American took the win in a time of 1.44.01, a track record. In the first 500 meters, Merijn Scheperkamp, member of the Zeist skating club, set the disappointing sixteenth time. (Saturday February 3)
