WHEELCHAIR TENNIS Diede de Groot has again been nominated for the Laureus Awards, the prizes that are considered the ‘Oscars of sport.’ The sportswoman from Oudewater remained undefeated in 2023 and won all four Grand Slam tournaments. She had been nominated before, but never won. The winners will be announced at a gala in Madrid on April 22. (Monday February 26)
