WHEELCHAIR TENNIS Diede de Groot and Jiske Griffioen have both advanced to the quarterfinals of the US Open. De Groot from Woerden won 2-0 against the French Pauline Déroulède. Griffioen, also from Oudewater, put down the same score against the Japanese Shiori Funamizu. Defending champion De Groot, who has already won the US Open five times, will play in the quarterfinals against Lucy Shukur (Great Britain), Griffioen will compete against compatriot Aniek van Koot.
