Sport broke its losing streak in the SM league

With their win, Vaasan Sport moved past KooKoo to 11th place in the standings. Ilves has lost five of its last six matches

Vaasan Sport broke its three-match losing streak in the Ice Hockey Championship League when it beat Ilves 4–1 at home.

Golden helmet Simon Hjalmarsson guided the Vaasa team to a 1–0 lead in the second minute of the game. Kalle Väisänen brought the people of Tampere to level in the same set.

After a scoreless second set, the pack Theodor Johnson scored the winning goal from the blue line, 2–1. Carl Mattsson embellished the readings to 3–1 and Martin Hanzl hit the Final readings into an empty target.

With its win, Sport moved past KooKoo to 11th in the standings. Having lost five of their last six matches, Ilves is in seventh place.
