What is the protocol in the gym?

“On March 14, 2022, the vaccination pass is lifted wherever it applied”, announced Jean Castex, the Prime Minister, on the 1 p.m. news from TF1. Since Monday March 14, 2022, the vaccination pass no longer required at the entrance to the sports halls. Wearing a mask is no longer compulsory inside the sports halls.

Is wearing a mask compulsory for sports?

Since March 14, 2022, the obligation to wear a mask has been lifted everywhere, so logically in sports halls or clubs. It is also not mandatory in outdoor sports venues.

Is the vaccination pass compulsory to play sports?

Since March 14, 2022, the vaccination pass is no longer required for people aged 16 and over and the health pass for young people aged 12 to 15 (inclusive) in closed places such as:

ERP PA: Establishment open to the public (stadium, tennis court, football pitch, outdoor swimming pools, racetracks, etc.)

ERP X: Enclosed and covered sports establishment, sports hall, omnisports hall, ice rink, carousel, indoor, convertible or mixed swimming pool, multipurpose sports hall of less than 1,200 m² or with a ceiling height of more than 6.50 m.

What is the protocol for sports at school?

Physical and sports activities are allowed indoors and outdoors

According to the Frequently Asked Questions of the Ministry of National Education, since March 14, 2022, the health protocol has moved to level 1 / green level for all schools and educational establishments in the national territory. This transition to level 1 involves in particular:

  • the end of the obligation to limit mixing between groups of students;
  • the end of restrictions for the practice of physical and sporting activities : physical and sporting activities are allowed indoors and outdoors
  • measures relating to hand washing, ventilation and surface disinfection are maintained.

The sports facilities of local authorities can be used for the practice of physical and sports activities during school time. From March 14, 2022, indoor contact sports and swimming pool activities can take place there.

The use of locker rooms for PE is authorized, in compliance with the sanitary measures in force and paying particular attention to the ventilation of the premises. It is advisable to favor the use of individual changing rooms when possible

Where are there still gauges?

Since February 2, 2022, there are no more gauges in establishments open to the seated public (stadiums, concert halls, theatres, etc.) for practitioners and spectators.

What rules for children?

Since March 14, the presentation of the health pass is no longer mandatory for access to sports equipment, for practice in a club and in the competitions. It is not compulsory for sports practiced at school (EPS lessons, gymnasiums, swimming pools, etc.) since schools are not subject to the presentation of the health pass.

What rules at the pool?

Since June 9, 2021, the swimming pools are open. They are accessible on condition of presenting a health pass (until March 14) for people aged 12 and over. On site, the collective locker rooms are open and there is no maximum gauge.

Can we do sports after an anti-Covid vaccine?

Like all vaccines, Covid vaccines are linked to a risk of adverse effects after the injection and require some precautions. For example, you need take into account the fatigue that may occur after the injection (of the primary vaccination or the booster dose). And avoid very high intensity sports on the day of vaccination.
